'Measures on to fast-track Talcher Fertiliser revival'

TFL was among the five fertiliser plants taken up for revival in 2014
More than a decade after the Centre initiated steps to revive the Talcher Fertiliser plant and redevelop it as the country's largest and first coal gasification-based urea unit, it continues to remain non-operational due to inordinate delay in execution of the project.
Talcher Fertiliser Ltd (TFL) was among the five fertiliser plants in the country taken up for revival in 2014.
The revival of four other plants at Sindri (Jharkhand), Barauni (Bihar), Ramagundam (Telangana) and Gorakhpur (Uttar Pradesh) announced during the same time have been completed and the units are now functional.
