CRPF seeks firing range to power Naxal fight in C'garh
The New Indian Express Bhubaneswar
|April 07, 2025
WITH the security forces aggressively engaged in back-to-back encounters with Naxals in Chhattisgarh, the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) ground commanders have requested their top bosses to seek permission from the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) to allow it to have a dedicated 'Field Firing Range' in the state.
The request has come in the backdrop of the absence of such a facility to exercise.
According to sources, during a recent meeting, a decision has been taken to look for a possibility of establishing a firing range facility for exercise purposes in Chhattisgarh for the personnel of the CRPF.
