BJP Workers Protest Seeking Fulfillment of Demands

BJP workers on Thursday staged an economic blockade at the 1200 MW Jindal India Thermal Power Plant in Kaniha demanding fulfillment of their seven-point charter of demands.
The demands included providing jobs to local youth, increasing the salary of permanent employees and hiking the compensatory allowance from ₹3 lakh to ₹15 lakh, among others.
