ROOPA Chanagouda Patil, who secured the first rank in the SSLC examinations at the state level, was felicitated in a unique radio programme conducted on Sunday by Nammura Banuli, a community radio station operated by the Women's Welfare Organisation.

- RAMAKRISHNA BADSESHI @Kalaburagi

THE 'Web-Casting System' introduced for SSLC exams from 2023-24 and barring from giving grace marks has brought in the real picture of the plight of the education system in Kalyana Karnataka Region, said Additional Commissioner of School Education Dr. Akash.

In a written analysis regarding the dismal performance of six out of seven districts of the Kalyana Karnataka Region which comes under the jurisdiction of the office of the Additional Commissioner of School Education of Kalaburagi, Dr Akash said that it is a matter of regret that 6 out of 7 districts of Kalyana Karnataka region is among 'Bottom 10 districts' and, Kalaburagi is in the 35th (last) position. Last year, the government accorded grace marks in the interest of the students' future, but this year, grace marks have not been allotted.
