THE public and devotees in Dharwad are demanding the renaming of Dharwad Railway Station as Mrutunjaya Appagolu Railway Station, in honour of the revered seer and the centuries-old legacy of the Murugha Mutt.
The mutt has done yeoman service in the fields of education, food distribution and social upliftment and left an indelible mark on the region.
