Revanth: It's a matter of pride for Telugus, but not TG vs TN
The New Indian Express Anantapur
|August 20, 2025
CHIEF Minister A Revanth Reddy on Monday appealed to MPs from both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, across party lines, to support retired Supreme Court judge Justice B Sudarshan Reddy, who has been named as the INDIA bloc's Vice-Presidential candidate.
Calling it "a matter of pride for Telugu people, particularly Telangana," he urged BRS, TDP, YSRCP, Jana Sena, AIMIM and BJP MPs to back the candidature.
"This is not Telangana versus Tamil Nadu. We are trying to unite the country, while the BJP seeks to divide people on the basis of region and religion. The contest is between those who protect the Constitution and those who want to abolish it," he told reporters at his Hyderabad residence.
