New tenders for 44,195 works worth ₹11,400 crore under Jal Mission
THE State Cabinet, which met under the chairmanship of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu at the State Secretariat on Thursday, approved 45 engineering works in the capital region of Amaravati at an estimated cost of ₹33,137 crore, and gave nod to the APCRDA to avail loans from the World Bank and ADB, ₹11,000 crore from HUDCO, and ₹5,000 crore from German firm KfW.
The Cabinet also approved cancellation of 44,195 works worth ₹11,400 crore under the Jal Jeevan Mission, to float new tenders.
Disclosing the Cabinet decisions to mediapersons, Minister for Housing and Information and Public Relations Kolusu Parthasarathy maintained that the NDA government is committed to developing Amaravati as one of the best global cities, and will take every initiative in that direction.
