95k MT of fine rice for MDM scheme

Entire quantity has been procured in Tirupati district to supply it to R'seema & Nellore schools

In a significant move to enhance the quality of midday meals, the State government has initiated the supply of fine rice to all schools in the Rayalaseema and Nellore regions, covering eight districts: Tirupati, Chittoor, Kadapa, Annamayya, Sri Sathya Sai, Nellore, and Anantapur.

For this initiative, the AP Civil Supplies Department has supplied 95,000 metric tonnes of fine rice to all government-run schools for the Dokka Seethamma Mid-day Meal scheme.

This also marks a notable achievement as the fine rice supplied to all eight districts was procured from the Tirupati district during the Kharif and Rabi seasons.
