The victim boy's family moved the HC alleging improper handling of the case by the police.

The incident took place last month when a child was bitten by a dog, prompting his family to file a complaint in Surat's Althan area. In turn, the dog's owners filed a counter-complaint accusing the boy's family of trespassing and assault.
