Sisodia denied bail in excise cases; will approach HC: AAP

IN another setback to former Deputy Chief Minister and senior AAP leader Manish Sisodia, the Rouse Avenue Court on Tuesday rejected his second regular bail plea in the money laundering and corruption cases connected to the Delhi liquor policy case.
After Sisodia plea was rejected, the AAP announced that it would move the Delhi High Court to challenge the trial court order.
Sisodia is presently lodged in judicial custody in both cases registered by the central probe agencies, the CBI and the ED.
PMLA Special Judge Kaveri Baweja, who had earlier reserved her verdict on April 20, dismissed Sisodia's bail plea on the grounds that the offence committed by the accused did not warrant bail.
