No teachers, students conduct exam themselves

After finishing their exams at the Junior High School at Nelda in Jakhanidhar block, students returned home, but the teachers didn't show up at the school.

Tehri Garhwal DM Mayur Dixit suspended school principal Pawan Singh Negi, citing negligence and indifference to departmental duties. "We have suspended Pawan Singh Negi, principal of Nelda school, due to negligence and indifference to departmental duties and for his conduct, which is detrimental to students' interests," Dixit said on Friday. Asked about his absence, Negi claimed, "I had to rush to a hospital due to sudden health issues."
