Mumbai cops move MHA, seek extradition of Bishnoi's brother Anmol

The Maharashtra police have forwarded documents to the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), which will work with the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) to coordinate with US authorities for extradition of jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi's brother Anmol Bishnoi, who is an accused in the Baba Siddique murder case.

If the MHA approves the proposal, the Crime Branch of Mumbai Police will secure custody of Anmol. The proposal has been sent after the US authorities informed Mumbai Police about Anmol's presence in their country.
Last month, the crime branch moved the special Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) court in Mumbai stating that it intends to "initiate the extradition procedure of fugitive criminal Anmol Bishnoi". The crime branch filed an affidavit "for further necessary action", which was allowed by the special court.
