AS the death toll of Madhya Pradesh children from Coldrif cough syrup poisoning-induced kidney failure continued to rise, Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav has accused the Tamil Nadu government of not providing adequate support in the case.

- ANURAAG SINGH @Bhopal

According to official sources, the death toll currently stands at 23, including 20 from Chhindwara, one from Pandhurna, and two from Betul districts. Autopsies on three children have been conducted, but reports remain confidential. The deaths were caused by Coldfrif cough syrup manufactured at Sresan Pharmaceuticals in Kancheepuram, Tamil Nadu, which was found to have serious manufacturing defects.
