MoS Suresh Gopi Calls for UCC, Accuses Opponents of Vote-Bank Politics

UNION Minister of state for petroleum and natural gas and tourism, Suresh Gopi has strongly advocated the implementation of a Uniform Civil Code (UCC) in the country.

In his inaugural address at Utkarsh, commemoration of two decades of the Swami Vivekananda Medical Mission's service to tribal communities, he stated that those opposing the UCC were using it as a tool to sabotage elections through vote-bank politics. He emphasized that the UCC is essential to ensure equality and the inclusive development envisioned in the mantra of "Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas."
