Maoists will be eliminated by March '26: Shah hails states, forces for crackdown

UNION Home Minister (HM) Amit Shah on Thursday chaired the 27th Eastern Zonal Council meeting, during which he exuded confidence that India would be free of Maoists by the end of March next year.
"Thanks to the unity of all the states and the bravery of the security forces, we have achieved unprecedented success against Naxalism," he expressed, noting that the presence of insurgents has been nearly eliminated in Bihar, Jharkhand and Odisha.
