Chief Minister claims it's illegal, won't quit

PUTTING Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah in a tight spot, the state's Governor Thaawar Chand Gehlot on Saturday granted sanction to prosecute him in the alleged Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) site allotment 'scam'.
The alleged scam involved MUDA "illegally" allotting 14 sites to Siddaramaiah's wife Parvathi in 2021 purportedly as compensation after the authority acquired their originally held land, which was seen as an encroachment by the authority.
