Govt taking many policy measures to promote fintech sector: PM Modi

PRIME Minister Narendra Modi on Friday said his government is taking many policy measures to promote the fintech sector, which attracted over $31 billion foreign investments in the past 10 years and has grown by over 500% in terms of their number.

He cited the abolition of the angel tax as a step towards their growth. Addressing the global fintech summit here on Friday, he also asked regulators to take more proactive measures to stop cyber frauds and further increase digital literacy among people.
