Four die during Makar Sankranti celebrations

NEGLIGENCE during Sankranti celebration claimed four lives in just two days. In one case, an Army personnel got entangled in the Chinese manja. The deceased, K Koteshwar Reddy, 28, hailed from Vizag.

He was posted as a driver at the Golconda Military Hospital. The fatal incident occurred within the Langer Houz limits while he was returning home towards Attapur after his duty hours.
According to the police, Reddy came in contact with the string and suffered a deep cut in his neck, leading to a fall from his bike. He was rushed to a nearby hospital but succumbed to injury while undergoing treatment.
The body was further shifted to Osmania General Hospital for postmortem examination and was later handed over to the victim's family.
Meanwhile, police launched a probe into the incident.
