Census 2027 data will be available early, says RGI

The Registrar General of India (RGI) and Census Commissioner on Monday said that data of the Census 2027 will be available early, as the ensuing exercise will be conducted digitally for the first time in the country.
In an X post, the office of the RGI & Census Commissioner said that the first digital will be conducted in two phases and "for the first time technology will be used to collect data and send it electronically to the central server" and "this will result in early availability of Census data." Notably, during the Census 2011, it took at least 2-3 years for primary data to be made available.
