Acid attack survivors can move legal services authority for comp delay: SC

The top court on Thursday said acid attack survivors should approach their respective state legal services authority (SLSA) if the compensation they are entitled to is delayed, while also asserting that survivors should not refrain from getting admitted to private hospitals of their preference.
The order came while hearing a PIL by an NGO seeking strict implementation of the apex court directions in Laxmi v. Union of India in 2014.
