LET'S FIX SA FOOTBALL
The Mercury

THE ROYAL AM saga should surely teach the Premier Soccer League (PSL) head honchos some valuable lessons that will see them getting stricter with league statuses, or so we may think.
-
The truth is, though, when it comes to South African football, nothing is ever as straightforward as it seems and common sense is not the currency you can bank on. The league may not and will not go public with it, but the Royal AM saga did play its part in denting the PSLs reputation with the sponsors.
That dent is something that those of us who make a living with PSL content really frown upon.
It is a big deal to some of us that the PSL Premiership is listed among the top 10 football leagues in the world, and so anything that threatens that status leaves a really sour taste in the mouth.
