George urges England to not focus on All Blacks' reputation

JAMIE George has urged England to focus on playing the team rather than being intimidated by the reputation of New Zealand when they face the rugby superpower at Twickenham.

Saturday's clash is the centrepiece of England's Autumn Nations Series campaign, as they chase a first win over the All Blacks since a memorable 19-7 success in the 2019 Rugby World Cup semifinal in Japan. But the record remains heavily in New Zealand's favour. The All Blacks have dominated the fixture, winning 36 of 46 Tests, with two draws, across 120 years of matches against England.

England will, however, bid for a first win over New Zealand at Twickenham since 2012, buoyed by a 38-18 victory over Fiji on Saturday, which marked their ninth straight win against all opponents.

Hours earlier, New Zealand had squandered a 17-0 halftime lead at Murrayfield, with Scotland fighting back to 17-17 before the All Blacks eventually prevailed 25-17.
