Wildshark joins the English wine scene

Situated one-hour away from London, nestled in the North Downs countryside sits Wildshark Kent's eco-friendly, sustainable vineyard.

With vines first planted in 2022, Wildshark is now offering nine delicious still and sparkling wines, and five artisan gins.

Sustaining the unique biodiversity of the vineyard is at the heart of Wildshark's ethos. More than 4,000 trees have been planted as well as native hawthorn and hedgerows throughout the site. Bee hives have been introduced to help pollinators but they also produce sun-enriched natural honey.

Wildflowers have been planted in every second row of vines at the vineyard, which encourages partner insects to pollinate the flowers while the plants themselves enrich the soil. Wildshark has regenerated watercress beds and planted a diverse range of native bulbs, flowers, trees and ferns in the surrounding area.
