Youngster rescued after mountain bike fall

MOUNTAIN rescue teams were called to help a child who was injured after falling from a mountain bike.

The boy had fallen from a bike in Kielder Forest, Northumberland, sparking a huge emergency response at around 12.30pm on Monday (October 20). Northumberland National Park Mountain Rescue Team (NNPMRT) and North of Tyne Mountain Rescue Teams were both called to rescue the young person.
