Women report sex assaults just 15 minutes apart

TWO women have reported being sexually assaulted within 15 minutes of one another in the Fenham area of Newcastle.
The incidents took place in the early hours of Saturday morning in the Barrack Road area of the city.
Police have now issued an appeal to identify a man pictured on CCTV. Officers are seeking to speak to him in relation to the reports
Northumbria Police officers said they received a first report of sexual assault on Barrack Road shortly after 2am on Saturday, August 23. The woman said she had been assaulted by a man she did not know who then left the scene after being disturbed by a passerby.
Police arrived at the scene and identified a second woman who also reported a sexual assault just 15 minutes earlier. Both women are being supported by specialist officers and an investigation has been launched.
