YOANE Wissa is pushing to be involved in Newcastle United's home game against Burnley on Saturday as he nears his first appearance in Eddie Howe's squad.

Wissa has been sidelined since the start of September with a knee injury picked up on international duty with DR Congo, meaning he has yet to feature for the Magpies since his deadline day move.

The £55m signing from Brentford has been working carefully behind the scenes with the club's medical staff as he continues his rehab from the injury to his knee, and stepped up training last week.
