Two appear in court after jewellers shop is burgled

TWO men have appeared in court accused of being behind a £80,000 “hole in the wall” gem burglary at a Northumberland jewellers.

Danut Lazar and Cornel Alexandrescu allegedly burgled V&N Jewellers, in Blyth, one night last month.
Both men, aged 49 and 48 respectively, were first suspected of burgling the neighbouring premises, Lev-Ink tattoo parlour, and stealing £5,363 worth of equipment, before gaining access to the jewellers by smashing a hole in an adjoining wall between the two premises.
