Sports safety innovator kickstarts crowdfund campaign

NORTH East sports safety innovator has launched a £1m crowdfunding campaign to help it ramp up international roll-out plans.

Launched in Stanley four years ago, Rezon creates sports headbands which have been engineered to protect the brain. Its flagship product, Halos, is designed to reduce the risk of concussion and from the accumulated damage of sub-concussions in contact and collision sports.

Now the firm has launched the seven-figure crowdfunding round in a bid to take the business to the next level. Rezon operates across business-to-business and business-to-consumer channels, with direct sales, partnerships with schools and clubs, and international distribution.
