Schooner crew sure to be in fine voice for visit

A staysail schooner is to dock at Newcastle Quayside later this month and will be offering the public the chance to look inside for free.

The Polish Zawisza Czarny ship will be docking for two days on June 29 and 30, before sailing off to Hartlepool as it completes a tour of the North East coast.
Crew members, travelling all the way from Gdynia in Poland, who make up the the Zawisza Czarny Male Voice Shanty Choir will also be performing sea shanties and celebrating maritime traditions at Newcastle’s Quayside Market stage at 2pm on June 29.
