Public urged to get flu jab

A LEADING North East doctor has said that getting a flu vaccine is the “easiest way” of protecting yourself and others from illness through the winter.

The first wave of the vaccine roll-out will see pregnant women, children aged two and three and all school-age children able to get their jabs, though for youngsters the vaccine offered is most commonly a nasal spray.

Children over the age of six months with health issues that mean they are at risk are also eligible.
