- BY SAM WYLIE-HARRIS

WHEN you walk into a room and look around what's the first thing that catches your eye?

Chances are, no matter the decor, the first thing you'll focus on are the windows... especially if you're lucky enough to be in a room with a view and light streaming through.

But even if the outlook isn’t picture-perfect, the way you frame windows can bring a room to life whether that’s with stylish curtains, a bold blind, or both.

“The right style and furnishings shape the mood and character of a home’ says Chloe Dacosta, design manager at Blinds 2go and Curtains 2go. “It can make or break a room.”

Moreover, she says that with interiors shifting away from safe minimalism towards more personal design, there’s a swing towards colour, pattern and texture this summer.

Here, Chloe shares her key window dressing tips...

“Layering is one of the most effective ways to create depth and give your space a put-together yet lived-in feel, without being too busy,’ suggests Chloe.
