New arena takes shape

WORK is under way on a new 3,600-seat arena at the Kynren site in County Durham.

The Lost Feather Arena is shaped like an enormous bird's nest and is said to be one of the most ambitious features of Kynren - The Storied Lands, ahead of its opening next year.
Plans for the arena were approved in April and, once complete, will include a small lake, a hillside stage, and a performance bridge. The first structural elements have been put in place across the landscaped site.
