Motorcyclist died in crash with vehicle

A MOTORCYCLIST has been killed in a crash with a Range Rover on the Military Road near Stamfordham, Northumberland.

A man in his 60s has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving while police are now appealing for witnesses to the collision to come forward.

The incident took place at around 2.25pm on the B6318 near the Matfen junction. It was reported to police that a grey Range Rover was travelling westbound - and turned at the junction, where it collided with the motorcyclist.
