LEWIS Miley looked to be exactly where he is meant to be on Wednesday night at St James’ Park - in every sense.

- By LEE RYDER Chief Newcastle writer

It's easy to forget sometimes that the lad from Stanley is still just 19 years old but, as he got into his rhythm again, he began to show just why Eddie Howe trusted him to cope with life in the senior side in the 2023/24 season.

Miley's stats by the end of the 4-1 win over Bradford City were impressive as he dominated the game with 120 touches - more than any other player.

The Academy product weighed in with 110 passes too, but at times his performance was still unpolished, while he is very much learning his trade. He lost the ball a couple of times in the first half and a rash clearance let in Andy Cook to score a consolation for Bradford - yet he wasn’t the only one to lose possession.
