MCDONALD'S has lodged a retrospective planning application to continue running a “delivery kitchen” at a former Sunderland shop site.

The planning department of Sunderland City Council has received an application for the ex-Simply Local food store off North Moor Road in the Silksworth ward, near an existing McDonald's restaurant and drive-thru.
