Le Bris looks at bigger picture after Swan dive

In a tight contest short on clear chances, it was Ben Cabango who settled it for the Swans - hammering home the rebound after a free-kick rattled the bar shortly before the hour mark.

The result - which was only Sunderland’s second home league defeat of the campaign - ended a three-game winning streak and marks the first goal the Black Cats have conceded since March 15 when they were hammered 3-0 by Coventry City.

Speaking post-match, Le Bris said: “It’s a disappointing result. We had a lot of possession, but it was difficult to create chances they were well-organised and stuck to their style.

“They played with an aggressive shape. It wasn’t about keeping the ball - we did that - but we struggled to break them down and create real openings.
