Hugely popular dog festival to return to region

NEWS that a popular dog festival is to make a return to Northumberland will no doubt be met by a flurry of wagging tails. And probably some excited barking.

The North East Dog Festival has certainly made an impression upon pets and owners alike in previous years and this August's outing will mark its 10-year anniversary. Over the past decade the weekender has proved a huge hit with its programme of shows, activities and attractions celebrating all things dog.

Described as a 'canine celebration like no other,' it always makes for ideal photo opportunities too, with four-legged-friends springing into action at the range of activities in a bid to prove themselves top dog. This year's festival will take place from August 30-31 - following hot on the heels of another dog-focused event which will be taking place in Newcastle.
