Howe eager to see Isak saga resolved

EDDIE Howe is hoping for some positive news from the boardroom after admitting the Alexander Isak situation is now out of his hands.

Newcastle United's head coach had spoken about potential talks on reintegrating the Sweden international only last Friday.

But the narrative seemed to swerve back to a potential Isak exit after Monday night's dramatic 3-2 defat by Liverpool at St James' Park, when Howe spoke about focusing on players “committed” to the black and white cause.

Howe has left those Isak discussions with director Jamie Reuben and chairman Yasir Al-Rumayyan, but admitted that Anthony Gordon’s three-game suspension complicates any quick getaway for the Sweden striker.
