Firms picked for health innovation programme
The Journal
|September 05, 2025
FOUR companies have been chosen for a North East programme which aims to improve health outcomes in the region.
The 5G innovation programme has been developed by innovation body CPI with funding from the North East Combined Authority. It is part of a wider £2.3m investment in 5G-enabled innovation across the region that follows investment from the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology through the 5G Innovation Regions Programme.
It is hoped that better use of digital technologies can address challenges in health and social care delivery, particularly around managing hospital capacity, reducing delays, and easing pressure on frontline staff.
