Body found at country park in search for missing woman

A BODY has been found in the search for missing North Tyneside woman Lucy Patterson at the Rising Sun Country Park.

Lucy, 44, had been reported missing on Monday morning, sparking an extensive police search.
An extensive police and search and rescue presence was seen in the Rising Sun area - in Benton - on Tuesday afternoon and Northumbria Police has confirmed that a body was found. Although formal identification has yet to take place, officer believe this to be Lucy.
