Artists back new glassworks plan

A NUMBER of high-profile artists and glass makers have signed an open letter in support of a plan to develop an alternative Sunderland Glassworks site.

Glass makers, educators and ceramicists working in the city, across the UK and internationally, have backed the development of Glassworks Sunderland, planned for the former Peter Smith Antiques site in Sunniside.
