Railway Dept. goes to town about lighting up nine arches Demodara Bridge built by the British in 1919

The Railway Department has announced plans to illuminate the historical Nine Arches Bridge in Demodara, allowing both local and foreign tourists to view the iconic colonial-era structure around the clock, starting from August.
The initiative, aimed at enhancing tourist experiences along the upcountry railway line, will see the bridge also known as the Bridge in the Sky - lit up with electric lighting, transforming it into a nighttime attraction.
