Neck pain is one of the most common complaints among office workers, students, and anyone who spends long hours in front of a computer or on a mobile phone.

While painkillers and massages are often the first remedies people turn to, health experts are increasingly pointing to stretching as a simple and effective way to prevent and alleviate neck pain.

The human neck is designed to support the head’s weight in a balanced, upright position. However, modern lifestyles often keep the head tilted forward for prolonged periods, putting strain on the neck muscles. This forward posture increases tension, reduces blood flow, and can lead to stiffness, soreness, and even headaches.

Physiotherapists note that the “text neck” phenomenon, caused by constantly looking down at devices, has become a widespread issue, especially among younger people. Over time, poor posture can contribute not only to muscle pain but also to joint problems and nerve irritation.
