Latest plan for eyesore cuts total homes aim

ANOTHER planning application has been submitted to construct new housing on a "longstanding eyesore" in Huddersfield.
Last December, Kirklees Council's Strategic Planning Committee granted planning permission for 35 homes to be brought to a plot of land on the site of the former Dowker Works in Milnsbridge.
This was subject to a number of conditions being met and was finalised by council officers.
Members of the public had also welcomed the proposal, with the former chair of the Milnsbridge Enhancement Group describing the plot of land as a "longstanding eyesore".
