- By SEBASTIAN MCCORMICK

Lily Hirst, from Huddersfield, has been selected for the England National Women's Squad for the 2025-2026 campaign.

The golfer said she was excited for the new season, and that she is aiming to be part of the Curtis Cup squad.

She started out at Outlane Golf Club aged just three, before moving to Woodsome Hall Golf Club to continue her training.

Now a member of Huddersfield Golf Club, Lily is aiming to take her already successful career to new heights.

Lily won the Match in the Desert 2025, helping the University of Kansas to the team event, and helped England win the 2024 Women's and Men's Home Internationals, after helping the women win their category in 2024.

She also won the 2024 English Women's Open Stroke Play Championship at Stoneham, represented England in 2024 and in the 2025 European Ladies Championship, and had three top ten finishes in the USA in 2023.

In addition, she had a top ten finish at the 2024 English Under-25 Championship, and had a top ten finish at the 2025 South American Amateur Championship.
