NATALIE CASSIDY TELLS RACHAEL DAVIS ABOUT HER NEW CHANNEL 4 DOCUMENTARY INVESTIGATING WHICH VIRAL PRODUCTS ARE ACTUALLY WORTH BUYING
-
EVERY single day, it seems, a new product that's said to change our lives and make us fitter, healthier, more beautiful or all of the above is being shoved down our throats on social media.
With adverts, influencers, and even our friends and family telling us how amazing, wonderful, incredible and life-changing the trending product is, it is hard to know what's actually worth spending our hardearned cash on, and what is simply a passing fad.
Natalie Cassidy, who's best known for playing Sonia Fowler on BBC1 soap EastEnders, knows that feeling all too well.
As a busy mum, she's often tempted by gadgets and gizmos that promise to improve her life, but doesn't want to get caught out by a product that promises the world, only to leave her disappointed.
That's why she was excited to get into the realities of the latest trending products in a new series for Channel 4, What's The Big Deal: Britain's Best Buys?.
In each episode of the four-part series Natalie, 41, will explore viral products from ice baths to teeth-whiteners, lion's mane mushrooms to LED face masks - taking a look at the science behind them and talking to experts to find out what really works, and what's a load of rubbish.Ahead of the series coming to Channel 4, let's hear from Natalie about the products she investigates, the things she learned and any surprises she came across on her journey through the most peddled must-have gadgets on social media.
