Union calls off rail strikes as mark of respect

TRAIN OPERATOR PLANS NORMAL SERVICE
SOUTH Western Railways (SWR) has confirmed that scheduled strike action planned for September 15 and September 17 will now not go ahead.
SWR says the trade unions involved have decided to suspend the strike following the death of Queen Elizabeth II.
A spokesperson for SWR said the company welcomes the decision, adding that SWR now plans to reinstate a normal service for the days which would have been affected by the strikes.
