Store set to reopen six months after being damaged by fire

A TAVISTOCK store which has been closed for nearly six months after a serious fire broke out there is set to reopen today after an extensive refit.

Firefighters from nine stations spent eight hours battling the blaze at the Coop store on Market Street in the West Devon town in June, which was caused by an electrical fault.
Around 40% of the property was severely damaged by fire, and the remainder of the building and the first floor were damaged by smoke.
