The Herald

SHOPFITTING by SWS B (Jan Walaszkowski 3, Dan Kayes 3) outplayed Molyneux Associates B beating them 8-2 in Division One with stand-in Toby Spencer, from Division Two, taking a well-earned point as well.
Meanwhile, SWS A are still struggling and only competing with two players, but Martin Parnell and Mike Briggs managed a draw against Crafthole A, who had Shirley Luckhurst in form taking a maximum.
Shopfitting by SWS C got the better of their E club-mates, winning 9-1, with newcomer Johnny Hill taking a maximum along with Steve Garlick. Keith James replied for SWS C with their solitary point, beating John Palmer.
Shopfitting by SWS D could not match the speed, control and spin against a very good Molyneux Associates A side losing 10-0. Tony Sweet was outstanding and never coincided a game keeping all the SWS players under seven points.
There are only nine points separating top from bottom in Division Two with three teams currently joint top on 23 points.

It's time to reconsider a SW tourist tax
HOLIDAYS can be taxing - and not just the airport delays, the eyewatering cost of a bottle of water in the departure lounge, or the risk that a brochure image of a beautiful hotel turns out, on arrival, to be a half-built ruin.
