MILLBAY ACADEMY PUPILS JOIN BBC-LED WORKSHOP
More than 120 students joined the session at Millbay Academy
PUPILS have been getting a lesson in truth and trust as part of an interactive project aiming to equip the next generation with tools to detect misinformation online.
More than 120 students at Millbay Academy took part in a BBC-led workshop to help them better understand how news is made, shared, and sometimes distorted in the digital age.
Led by BBC South West journalist Archie Farmer, who appears regularly on regional TV programme BBC Spotlight, the session formed part of the BBC's National Schools Project, which aims to boost media literacy among young people.
